It’s Fall and Fruit Season.
Summer has ended and now Fall is in the air. I love to photograph the variety of breathe taking views of Autumn colors. Thousands of people drive for miles to look at these amazing varieties of foliage with assorted shades of green, yellow, orange, and reds.
It is also the season for harvesting grapes, plums, apples, pears, figs, wheat, carrots, sweet potatoes, pumpkins, squash, etc. It is one of my favorite seasons particularly for picking the fruit. I have memorable moments of eating that scrumptious apple, peach, or pumpkin pie my mother baked. Oh Yum!
Harvest season is reward time. Farmers plant seeds in the spring, water through the summer and harvest it in autumn. In other words, seed, time. harvest. Just like in Gods Word, every thing we do or plant is seed, time and harvest, whether it is good or bad.
Proverbs 18:21 ESV “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.”
The words we speak will bring us death or life to our situations. Words are seeds that we sow, as we use those words over and over (repetition), we will reap the harvest or outcome! Seed, time, harvest is in everything we say and do. We will reap what we sow.
Galations6: 7-9 Esv “Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.“
It is a “spiritual law” that God put in effect when He made the earth and universe. He spoke and it was made. Sound waves and frequencies go out to create what we speak.
Proverbs 11:18 Esv ” The wicked earns deceptive wages, but one who sows righteousness gets a sure reward.”
New Age believers call this ” Karma”. Christians call this a spiritual law of harvest or as God calls it “sowing and reaping”. Why do you think He says to LOVE others? We sow love, we reap love. I am talking about godly love, not perverted love. Love others, others love you. Hate others and hate follows you. Our words are powerful!
In this harvest season, what will you reap? What have you been repeating over and over in your life? “I am so sick?” “My life is boring?” “I can’t do this or that?” Have loved ones or family members been speaking death or life over you? Slander? (talking bad about your neighbor, giving them a bad reputation). Do you constantly yell at your kids? God says to speak life to all situations. Focus on the good, not evil. Go about doing good.
Well I am telling you now, you can “cancel” every bad, negative seed by saying your sorry and by repentance to everyone or thing you have cursed. Instead “speak life” to all good seed and reap the fruit of hope, love, joy, forgiveness, self control, laughter, salvation, and the such. What fruit are you going plant?
