You are meant to shine beautiful and bright all year, but especially this Christmas season! Lights are everywhere representing hope, love, reflection, enlightenment, beauty, and direction to see clearly through each step of darkness.
I love driving around looking at lights during the holidays, but the brightest light to shine no matter what is happening in this world is suppose to be those who claim the peace and joy of Jesus. He is the Prince of Peace to those who are His and those who love Him.
God our Father, is the Father of Lights with the stars of the universe are on display for His glory and prove He is the Creator of Lights and of “all creation.” His Goodness is seen in the sky, earth, water, Holy Spirit fire, and in people who follow Him.
James 1:17 ” Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”
Of course, during the Christmas month, many people are searching for the best gift for family or friends. I still enjoy the season because Jesus is the reason for the season. Some families spend a lot of money on many presents, but the best gift of season is The Father of Lights giving us the gift of salvation, grace, healing, blessings, favor, hope, forgiveness, love, peace, joy, and laughter, ALL WRAPPED THROUGH JESUS!
For those who haven’t experienced these gifts, may you quiet yourself and stop to listen to the Lord. Perhaps, let go of all the materialistic gift buying and bless the Lord by giving Him your faith and time this Christmas.
Let us pause from the “hussle and bussle” of a spending frenzy to temporary make us happy. Instead let us find everlasting joy through Christ.
Will you shine bright as a light for Jesus, just like the ones on the tree?
