Special Treasure

Gemstones, Crowns, Pearls, Jewels, Gold, and Silver Coins produce images of items found in a treasure chest. The rich see these precious items as very valuable.

Many times, people place too much value or emphasis on material things. To the rich they represent proof of a wealthy status of success, but God sees treasure differently in the Kingdom of Heaven.

On one particular summer day, I went for a hike and asked the Lord to show me some lost or hidden valuable treasures on my path. I never did find any physical items but He reminded me that all His Children are His ” special treasure”, who are more valuable than any precious stone, pearl or gold.

He values each one of us and our relationship with Him. The Lord values the time we take to seek Him. We are His special treasure chest full of gifts and abilities that He placed in our spirit, and our soul before the day we were born. We have hidden talents waiting to come to the surface just like buried treasure from the sea. It takes time but it can be found. Your gifts may seem allusive or hard to find but they are there in you.

Matthew 6:19-21 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.

What are ” treasures in heaven”? First one I think of is, Jesus – Yeshua, a gift from Abba Father to save the lost souls and for you to enter eternity with Him.

Exodus 19:5 Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine.

Note “if” you obey and keep my commandments, “then” you will be a special treasure. Obey what? 1. Love the Lord with all your heart. 2. Love your neighbor (others). A clear goal and purpose for our life should be that right there. Love.

Matthew 13: 44-46 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.”

We are that treasure in which Jesus paid the price for the field (us) by dying on the tree (cross) for all sin, sickness, disease, shame, guilt, and poverty so we wouldn’t have to. He bought us with His blood.

Matthew 13 :45“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, 46 who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.

You are the one pearl of great price! You are valuable no matter how young or old you are. Whether you are disabled, feel like an outcast or struggling through a rough time in your life, You are treasured. Your circumstances or flaws do not define you.

May you know the love of the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit in your life no matter what you are going through or what past decisions you have made. You are loved. You are the “Special Treasure”.

Open up the your treasure chest inside of you and discover who you are in Christ by asking Holy Spirit to reveal insights. Studying the Scripture and journal the gems you find.

Here is a song below that tells you how treasured and loved you are.

Hi there everyone, my name is Brenda. My intention for this blog is to help people identify their gifts, talents, and purpose more clearly, and to lead you down the path to success. Once you have insight and clues, natural and spiritually, the light comes on and the journey begins. Yes there are skills to acquire but will you be satisfied? Life is more than making money. It's recognizing "YOUR" God given talents & skills for a bigger purpose.
